Student Voices Make a Difference

You told us, we listened

You needed more places to study on campus. We expanded access to study spaces throughout campus and transformed the first floor of the Main Library into the Learning Commons.

You wanted more help with some of your most difficult classes. SWAT now provides supplemental instruction and tutoring for many classes, a tutor referral service when you need one-on-one help, a directory of Help Labs around campus, and free workshops on succeeding in college.

You told us that changing your schedule during the first week of class was a hassle. We streamlined the drop/add process for changes made during the first five days of the semester.

You needed more manageable final exam schedules. The new final exam schedule means you have a 30-minute break between tests and no more than two tests in one day.

We know that the cost of college is a major concern for students and families.  UI leaders have been working to keep costs from going up, launched the Summer Hawk Tuition Grants, and created more opportunities to help you understand your options for financing your education.

Through all these efforts, we’re working hard to support your success at UI, and we’re proud to say that student retention and graduation rates are at record-high levels.

Tell Us More

We are inviting you to participate in a university-wide survey that will let us hear from all our undergraduates and tell us about your time at UI so far:

~ We have stopped collecting responses for the 2014 survey ~

The survey takes about 25 minutes and your participation is voluntary and confidential.  The survey is open to all degree-seeking undergraduates at UI who are age 18 or over.

Students who complete the survey will be entered into a weekly prize drawing.  Once you complete the survey, you're eligible for the drawing every week until the survey closes. The the sooner you take the survey, the more chances you have to win! Email addresses will be kept until the survey closes so that we can notify prize recipients.  After that, email addresses will be removed from the data.
